Most of The Matrix most everyone knows as a Christian based story. But after re-watching it just once more, man. Each line stuck out so much more. Each line speaking so true to what our world of sin is exactly like, how the lives of each human is like, how satan/smith tempts us, how the humans of the Matrix are lost, living aimlessly and without purpose, how the “freed” people living in Zion are trying to reach out to the people in the Matrix daily, but many times failing because of the agents.

But this quote in particular made me wonder. Since Agent Smith is supposed to portray satan… I wonder if satan every thinks like this… Basically interrogating Christians everyday. But not just that. Satan with a mind of its own. Have we as Christians ever wondered how Satan thinks? Wondered why Satan keeps tempting us, why he tries so hard to make us fail, why he tries so hard to prevent people form doing God’s work?
Satan/Agent Smith… why does he hate this place so much? In the Matrix, Agent Smith refers to the Matrix as a jail, a zoo. Trapped. After all, Satan was an angel before, before he rebelled. He’s confined to this world just as God commanded. Saturated by the sin of this world. Agent Smith desires the keys to Zion. Which can translate to Satan desiring the keys to Heaven? Well, if we think about what he’s done so far, it is quite clear that he wants to destroy Heaven, destroy God’s creation…
All is really quite a mystery, the nature of Agent Smith/satan…
